Christianity Explored

Three times a year at Holy Trinity Gateshead we run a course called Christianity Explored.  This course is a seven-week guided tour through one of the eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life, investigating what was so significant about him. It’s an ideal way to ask questions – and get answers – about Christianity.

Each course launches with a ‘Taster Evening’ at HTG.  This is an evening starting with a delicious free meal, followed by a short talk and a DVD presentation from the course material.  The content of a Taster Evening is a shortened version of the content of the first night of the course, but there’s no pressure to come back.

The course is based around discussion groups where a leader will guide the group through a portion of Mark’s gospel.  This is followed by a short DVD presentation with questions posed for further discussion after that.  There’s no singing or praying, you won’t have to read aloud and if you just want to sit and listen to the discussion that’s fine too.

We recently held a Taster Evening, on 19th April 2012, and the course is running for the six Thursday nights 26 Apr – 31 May.  Feel free to join in the first half of the course, and if you’d like to be reminded about / invited to the next Taster Evening (scheduled for September/October) closer to the time, please fill in this form and we’ll be in touch.
