Human rules and regulations, regimes and strict discipline look good and seem like they must be useful. And they appeal to our ego’s – making us thing we’re superior if we can manage them. But they don’t help us to get closer to God and they don’t help to reduce sin, they simply increase our pride. So remember you died with Christ and therefore you’ve died to the principles of this world. So don’t continue to live by human rules and teachings, but put your trust in Jesus and not in the things you do.
