In Christ we see how humility is more than just an attractive virtue. It is only because of Christ’s humility that we are able to boast in our knowledge of God. It is by his humility that we are saved. In that passage in Philippians 2 Paul says that we should have the same attitude. The same attitude which led Christ to abandon the status that was rightfully his and become obedient to death, even death on a cross.
